Bird Of Paradise Archive Brooch

Bird Of Paradise Archive Brooch

£23,000.00

A truly unique piece from the Daou archives has been made available to recreate for bespoke handmade commissions. Every single detail in this piece exemplifies the Daou signatures that made the brand so sought after in the 60s and 70s from the life captured in the feather and beak forms to the overall dynamic movement embodied in the silhouette of the bird. The stone selections and positioning of both pink and soft angels skin coral and diamonds juxtaposed with a vibrant ruby cabochon eye show the Daou distinctly beautiful way with colour, and the use of yellow and white gold and textured handwork the attention to every detail to create this miniature sculpture masterpiece jewel.

The Bird of Paradise brooch is one of the heritage inspirations for the Phoenix collection which tells the story of the revival of the Daou jewellery house using references to the archival designs reinterpreted in new designs to continue the artistic sensibilities of the Daou legacy.

Please be in touch to learn more about this piece and to discuss a commission.

Signifying renewal, resilience, rarity and femininity the Phoenix collection also tells the story of reigniting Daou Jewellery. Designs are inspired by the exquisite forms of birds of paradise and the legendary Phoenix fire-bird referencing flickering flames and the movement of feathers. The collection also features a return to imaginative use of coloured gemstones combinations and signature Daou play of light with hand-selected fine opals.
